Iridium offers the following methods of dictation:
Toll Free Dictation System
Iridium provides all of our clients access to our toll free dictation system. Using your personal identification number (provided by us) you may call in 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Once your dictation is recorded it will converted into a digital voice file, encrypted, and placed on our secure service to be retrieved by our transcription team. Once the dictation is transcribed, the document will be placed back on our servers. Your medical records staff simply need to login to our secure web site, enter their personal ID and retrieve the transcribed document.
Digital Hand Held Voice Recorder
Iridium provides our clients with digital hand held voice recorders if they choose not to use the toll free method. The doctor simply needs to record each dictation in the digital device. At the end of the shift the dictations can be downloaded to the PC, then using our software convert the dictation to a digital voice and upload the file to our server. Once the dictation is transcribed, the medical records staff can simply log into our secure web site and retrieve the transcribed document.
PC Based Dictation System Iridium supports all forms of PC based dictation technology. Record the dictation using the method of your choice. Then encrypt and upload the dictation using our software. Once the dictation is transcribed the medical records staff simply needs to log into our secure web site and retrieve the transcribed document.
| Stage 1 | Dictation Capturing: Iridium offers three dictation options to physicians:
Phone-based Dictation via a toll-free line, Digital Hand Held Voice Recorder, and PC Based Dictation System. |
| Stage 2 | Voice File Transfer to iridium's Operations Facility: Recorded voices are then transferred to Iridium’s operations facility with priority and author ID tagging. |
| Stage 3 | Distribution of Work at Iridium Team: The recorded voice files are distributed to the transcriptionists assigned to specific physicians for transcription into Word documents. |
| Stage 4 | Quality Control: These transcribed files (Word documents) are again checked by highly experienced professionals to ensure quality output at each level. One hundred percent of these transcription files are checked by a senior transcriptionist, and health care professionals on a regular basis. |
| Stage 5 | Delivery: All files are delivered next business day to the physician’s office in the manner and format requested by the client. We undertake stat reports also. Iridium offers multiple document delivery options which include delivery over email, Fax, FTP or even Web-based delivery. |
